Texas School of Phlebotomy takes its role in training students for successful careers very seriously. Since 2013, the school has prided itself on career-focused training – making sure the students get the right skills for the current job market and on having dedicated, experienced instructors and staff.Our primary goal is to produce students whose skills are exceptional and whose understanding of safety is superior. Our company consists of experienced professionals who have over 40 years of experience in the field and provide students with the personal attention they need to succeed.
Mr. Masters hopes to make a difference in the life of each student who steps onto his campus. His vision is to provide affordable courses to give his students a better career. When he first envisioned the campus, his priority was to teach all his students the proper way of collecting blood and ensure the integrity and safety of both the phlebotomist and the patient. The first school opened in Mansfield in 2014, and the San Antonio campus in 2016. Soon outgrowing the Mansfield campus, the main campus in Fort Worth opened in 2019 and shortly opened another campus for the Dallas community in Irving the same year. In addition to overseeing the three campuses, Mr. Masters is also a board member of Career Colleges and School of Texas (CCST) and part of maintaining the quality and an advocate for affordable education. Mr. Masters, with his many roles, also recently acquired the Life Compressions CPR training center, which he manages as the Training Center Coordinator. He advocates for the importance of knowing how to save a life. He has seen cardiac arrest personally and understands the importance of learning how to save a life, the proper way of performing CPR, and the presence of the mind while in the moment. He spearheads and advocates for appropriate training and the accuracy of CPR and basic first aid, which is crucial to saving a life. Mr. Masters believes that everyone should learn and master how to perform CPR. With his accomplishments as a First Responder/EMT, Senior Phlebotomist for over 20 years, CPR instructor and CPR Training Center Coordinator, and many more hats, he has the vision to share his knowledge and create opportunities for his students. Mr. Evans comes to TSP with over 35 years of working in the career school industry. He has worked and served students in almost every student service department, from working as a Campus President, Career Services, Admissions, Dean, Financial Aid, and Registrar. Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University and Associate of Mid-Management from El Centro College. Mr. Evans takes pride in providing outstanding customer service and helping students reach personal and career goals. Making students successful is our ultimate goal at TSP.
Clinical Lab InstructorIrving Campus
Mr. Beebe has worked in many different roles such as a traveling phlebotomist, ER tech, clinical lab assistant, and run the outpatient lab at the hospital. Over his years as a phlebotomist, he trained new hires and nurses on the specimen collection procedures on newborns/infants. He loved working as a phlebotomist, but it was time for him to take the next step in his career. Mr. Beebe joined TSP because he wanted to make a difference in people's lives. His goal is to pass on the knowledge, technique, and passion that he have for phlebotomy and patient care. As a clinical lab instructor, he always looks forward to watching our students grow as they go through the lab together. He will guide and instruct our students in the techniques/art of collecting blood for laboratory analysis, that they will need to go into the phlebotomy field.
Clinical Lab InstructorFort Worth Campus
Mr. Blackwood is a former Army Combat Medic, EMT, Tutor, and Phlebotomist who began his work in the medical field in 2005. His work in education began earlier than that in 2000, where he discovered his passion for teaching. Since that time, he has worked in elementary schools, colleges, clinical laboratories, construction companies, emergency departments, long-term care wards, and EMS. He joined Texas School of Phlebotomy in January 2022. As an instructor, Mr. Blackwood prioritizes confidence. He contends that confidence leads to higher accuracy, greater attention to safety, and better bedside manner. Believing "Patience yields focus," Mr. Blackwood works with students at whatever speed they learn at, and teaches them to focus, not panic, when the unexpected happens.
Clinical Lab InstructorChina Grove Campus
Ms. Crawford accepted a position in August of 2021, she began her journey as a Phlebotomist, Clinical lab assistant, and EKG Technician in 2009. She has worked in a hospital setting, Clinical trials as well as as an In-office Phlebotomist and also a patient service center Phlebotomist. She has always wanted to become a Phlebotomy instructor. Helping students advance in the phlebotomy field has been a dream of hers's since she started phlebotomy. With her diverse background, she can bring that knowledge to our students to help them succeed in their careers.
Phlebotomy InstructorIrving Campus
Mrs. Rodriguez accepted the position as an instructor in October of 2022. She came from 5 years of experience in the medical field. She has worked as a certified nursing assistant, clinical lab assistant, and certified phlebotomist. She just completed the EMT-B program and is currently working towards obtaining her state license. She has had the opportunity to work in both the hospital and clinic setting. She obtained employee of the month as a lab assistant for dedication and team work. She has trained several new hires to work in the lab, and assisted with teaching a few BLS classes at a local high school. She has always found great joy in helping others anyway she can. She looks forward to her new teaching position. She is excited to build confidence in her students, so that they can be really successful.
Mr Stanford's journey in the field of healthcare has been quite diverse, ranging from tending to the needs of both young children and elderly individuals, including active and retired veterans. Over the past six years, he has taken on dual roles, one as a certified nursing assistant and the other as a phlebotomist. Along this path, he has had the privilege of sharing his expertise through teaching, and this experience has ignited a genuine passion for passing on knowledge and leaving a lasting impact. Mr. Stanford has harbored a deep-seated desire to commit himself entirely to the realm of education. There's an immense sense of fulfillment in passing on the wisdom he has accumulated and making a positive mark on the world of phlebotomy. He firmly holds the belief that every student can be guided and nurtured; it's the responsibility of the instructor to discover the most effective way to connect with each individual student.
Campus Coordinator
Mr. Bill has worked with the Texas School of Phlebotomy since 2018. He came to TSP with an operations management background in business with increasingly responsible administrative experience in a similar population. His passion and focus are on our students' success within the medical field. His goal is to provide direct support to students with TSP, including information and guidance where needed. Proving proper work habits and techniques for competing for jobs, including appropriate dress, interviewing strategies, and advising in preparation to seek employment. He serves as a liaison between employers and the community regarding administrative and operating requirements for the job placement. All while ensuring compliance with state regulations and coordinating with appropriate individuals and departments to meet institutional reporting requirements.
Admissions Representative /Social Media Manager
Ms. Kara accepted a position with TSP in August of 2020. She is an experienced admissions rep and certified social media manager with over 8+ years of experience working with variety of client's businesses. In 2015, she started working as a Product Trainer and Team Leader from various industries such as financial, retail services including sales, technical support, and customer care. As part of the admissions and marketing, she is committed to providing an excellent student service experience and has proven skills to effectively give satisfaction with her expertise to handle multiple admissions tasks which include processing enrollments, presenting, and answering relevant inquiries. With her strong communication and collaboration skills, she is the Social Media Manager and handles the TSP's overall marketing strategies, social media platforms and public relations. She is always committed in assisting our student's professional growth with us.
